Effective December 1, 2025, the Board of Directors has approved a Water Rate Change:
The KCWD#1 Board of Directors has completed their annual review of District 2025-26 budget costs and has approved new water rates for Fiscal Year 2025-26 at the November 19, 2025 Board Meeting. The new water rates will go into effect December 1, 2025.
The new rates are as follows:
Monthly Base Rate (MBWR): $30.00/month
Metered Actual Water Use (MGUR): $1.75/1000 gallons
Metered Water Use Over 75 kGal/Month (Over 150 kGal/Two-Month Billing Period): $2.75/1000 gallons
Important! During the winter months, if meters are not being read, Patrons will be billed only the Base Rate of $30.00/month ($60.00/two months). Typically, the June bill will “true up” the billing for Patrons' actual use over the winter months, billed at $1.75/1000 gallons.
