Additional Shutdown required for Grouse Meadows/Long Shadowy Ln. Today, Wednesday, January 31, 2024

The new Grouse Meadows Booster Pump Station requires some modifications as it is not operating as planned.  This work will be done between 12 noon and 3:00 PM today, Wednesday, January 31, 2024.  Water Service will be temporarily shut off during this work, and will affect Patrons in Grouse Meadows and on Long Shadowy Lane serviced by this booster pump station.

Patrons affected by this service interruption should plan not to use water until service is restored.  Patrons are asked to monitor the blog to receive updates as to when service is actually restored.

As not all Patrons have subscribed to the blog, please let your neighbors know about this planned water service interruption.

As a reminder, Patrons who have had their water service interrupted, should open one inside tap slowly to vent any air that may have gotten into their plumbing, and then flush their lines until running water is clear during first use.

Lake Pump House Restored to Normal Operation

The new transformer has been installed and the raw water intake Pump House is back to normal operation.

Household water use can now resume to normal levels.

Thank you to all Patrons who helped by reducing their water use during this system failure emergency!  With all the measures taken - potable water deliveries, reduced consumption; the system was able to maintain all critical parameters to deliver safe water to all Patrons during the last two days.

Raw Water Pump House Failure Update

The raw water intake Pump House continued to operate through the night on generator power, and the sand filters are operating and actively replenishing the reservoir and distribution system.  The Electrical Contractor was successful in locating a replacement transformer this morning, and after an emergency Board approval, is en route to picking it up and will be on site to begin the repair.  The District is anticipating, barring any unforeseen issues, that the repair will be completed today, and the system will return to "normal" operation.

Please continue to minimize water use until the District provides notice that the system has been returned to normal operation (i.e. off generator power).
