District Water System Manager
Kootenai County Water District No. 1 (“KCWD#1”, the “District”), an Idaho Title 42, Chapter 52 Water District, located in Coeur d’Alene, ID, is currently seeking a Water System Manager for immediate employment.The ideal candidate will:
- Hold and maintain, at a minimum, valid Idaho Level 1 Treatment and Distribution licenses (DWT1 and DWD1).
- Have experience, preferably some with Slow Sand Filter Plants, managing and executing the day to day operations and maintenance of the Filter Plant and the Distribution infrastructure, as well as project management, for a District that serves 300-400 connections, ensuring reporting in compliance with all applicable Federal, Idaho State, and Local regulations.
- Have experience successfully collaborating with professional services, e.g. Engineering Firms and Contractors.
- Have a demonstrated ability to document Standard Operating Procedures, Job Descriptions with Leveling, Scope of Work when soliciting service provider proposals, and monthly Operations Reports for the Board of Directors.
- Have experience with hiring and training qualified individuals, planning labor availability to meet budget, schedules, and project deadlines, as well as setting standard labor hours for routine tasks for the operation and maintenance of the District System.
- Have experience identifying opportunities for operational cost savings through process efficiency improvements, investment to system infrastructure, preventive maintenance, and negotiation of service contracts.
- Be able to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with Customers, Regulatory Agencies, Service Providers and Vendors, and the Board of Directors.
- Have basic working proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, esp. MS Word, MS Excel.
