This is a message
from the Kootenai County Water District No. 1 Board of Directors.
This is an update to the water system emergency notification
sent this morning at around 9:30 AM. The
controls failure and large main break that was discovered has unfortunately slowed
recovery of the contact chamber and the reservoir. The reservoir is currently at about one third
full. With the full isolation of the leak,
water is continuing to be pumped to the reservoir while the contact chamber is also
recovered in parallel.
We need all Patrons to continue to reduce water use to a minimum
through the rest of the night.
If your water service was interrupted, flush your pipes until
water is clear before use.
Please monitor the KCWD#1 blog at www.kcwd1.blogspot.com for any further updates, and let your neighbors know the
current status of this water emergency, as not all Patrons have subscribed to
the blog.
